Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm - A Folly Gras tradition, the annual parade will kick-off at 11 am, entering from West Ashley and exiting on East Hudson. Dressed in their Folly Gras finest, folks from all over the Low Country take to Center Street to spread Folly Gras cheer. This past Spring Break my family spent the week at our Water's Edge town home that is an easy walk from Center Street and a convenient eight miles from Charleston. I took a trip to work on the Water's Edge Townhome. As luck would have it, the Taste of Folly had been rained out the week before and instead, coincided with my visit. Folly Beach, SC was spared the worst of Hurricane Matthew. The direction of the wind in relation to the shoreline, wind speed, distance of eye of hurricane from shore, and timing of high tide all worked in Folly's favor.
