If you stay at one of our homes, The Seahorse Retreat or The Palm Breeze Beach House, you’re pretty much guaranteed a magnificent sunrise or sunset.
You’ll need to get up pretty early to view the sunrise, and sometimes that can be difficult on vacation, but it’s a peaceful and serene time of the day and very worth the effort. The water on the Santa Rosa Sound is often still and glass-like in the morning, and the reflection of the light and clouds on the water is a beautiful sight to behold. It’s hard to take a bad photo! I like to sit on the balcony on a comfortable chair or walk down to the dock to see it in all its splendor, and if you do, you might be treated to a visit from our resident blue heron who walks the beach to look for fish.
